Texas Our Texas examines and celebrates our shared history as Texans by exploring the events, cultural groups, communities and individuals that have come together over the centuries to create the state we live in today.

By combining the reach and expertise of Texas PBS stations with the rich historical resources and scholarship available statewide, the Texas Public Broadcasting Association (Texas PBS) will curate and create a high-quality mix of broadcast documentaries, interactive online resources, K-12 educational materials and public events designed to share our state’s history with a broad, diverse and large audience.

Our goal is to explore the past and illuminate the present, helping viewers gain a better understanding of Texas history and culture, as well as the significance of our state’s history in our lives as Americans.
